What We Do

We Help Our Community

The MOMS Club® of Eagle River offers its members many activities for fun and personal growth.  Activities are voluntarily hosted by different Moms during the month.  Examples are- Monthly "Moms Night Out" offer mothers a chance to get together at a member's home, restaurant, or participate in some other activity just for moms.  We are grateful to the churches and businesses that allow us to use their facilities free of charge for many of our activities and to the many moms that open their homes to the rest of us.

Outings vary according to the season, but may include trips to parks, museums, plays, farms, movies, restaurants, pools, gyms, etc...  We also have regular circle time dates that include play, crafting, reading and lots of fun!

In order to give more Moms the opportunity to be involved in the planning of our activities and the running of The MOMS Club® of Eagle River, we have created coordinator positions.  As with all our activities, participation is strictly voluntary.  We encourage our members to review these positions and their responsibilities and volunteer based on their interests.  And as always input and ideas are greatly appreciated.

Another regular monthly activity is the Who Are the People in Our Neighborhood series where moms and kids tour local businesses to find out more and be more involved in our community. We've been on guided tours to many of the businesses around Eagle River and Anchorage. Like all our activities, new ideas and suggestions are always welcome.

We Host Meetings

Both the International MOMS® Club and our local chapter believe in involvement and service to our community.  We hope to have a positive impact on our community and our children through our Community Involvement Activities.

Once a month we have our regular membership meeting (with the exception of the summer months). This meeting is a chance for all members to get an update on what is happening in the club, voice their ideas and concerns.

We also invite speakers to discuss topics of interest; nutrition, sanitation, organization, preschool placement....etc.

Circle Time is held once a month at our regular meeting location. This is a hosted playgroup where the kids and moms participate in an easy craft, (since most children in attendance are 4 and under) story time and free play. A snack and drink are provided by a sign up list.
